Welcome to the 2024 Leadership Class!
Mission Statement: The mission of Leadership Jackson County is to develop, connect and inspire leaders to strengthen our communities according to the evolving future of the county.
Concept Statement: The Jackson County Chamber of Commerce established Leadership Jackson County as an incubator program to identify and develop emerging leaders within the business, education, government, professional and local communities, and to assist them as they prepare for well informed, plugged in leadership positions across the county.
Size of Class: Average of 20
Tuition: Program tuition is $500.00.
Orientation: In Conjunction with Session 1 – Tentatively September Begins at Noon
Meeting Days: Meetings are typically held 1 Thursday afternoon a month. There will be an occasional Friday class. Some months may have an extra session. A complete schedule will provided at the orientation meeting.
Length of Sessions: Half day starting with lunch at noon and ending by 4:00 p.m. or earlier
Program Length: The program is eight months long, beginning in August, with the last class in March. Graduation will follow.

- • State & Local Government / Criminal Justice
- • Affordable Housing
- • Healthcare and Human Services
- • Economic Development & Workforce Development
- • Faith Based and Nonprofit Organizations
- • Education / Culture and the Arts
- • Tourism & Natural Resources / Agribusiness
- • Multiple Leadership Opportunities
Location: Various locations depending on topic
Faculty: The faculty for this program is a roster of the top business, civic, community, and organizational leaders who represent the most influential entities in Jackson County.
